Ingredients

1 x 454g pack of fresh sausages
2 tablespoons oil
150g plain flour
2 medium eggs
200ml milk

Method

Step 1

Preheat the oven to 220°C, 200°C Fan, Gas Mark 7.

Step 2

Place oil in a small non-stick roasting tin, add the sausages and cook in the oven for 10 minutes.

Step 3

Meanwhile, place flour and seasoning in a large bowl and whisk in the eggs. Gradually whisk in the milk to form a batter.

Step 4

Remove the roasting tin from the oven, pour the batter over the sausages, return to the oven and bake for 20-25 minutes or until golden and risen.

Step 5

Serve with prepared gravy, creamy mash and seasonal vegetables.

Tips and Serving Suggestions

Alternatively, try flavoured or herb sausages or add dried mixed herbs and mustard to the batter.
